One Way To Be A Hero In This House

I made the mistake of introducing my husband to the wonders of facebook. Little did I know that he would be so absorbed by connecting with old friends and family that he would do little else for the next 48 hours. He scoured the lists of classmates and got caught up with people he had thought of over the years but never thought he would see again.

So today when we got away for some date time, he began to tell me about a guy he had tracked down from his college days at CFNI. His name was Kevin Jonas and he was on the worship team at college. In catching up he had mentioned that he had three sons who were now musicians too. Chris related this to me like it was no big deal but suddenly a light bulb went off.

"Uhhh....honey....what was his last name?"

"Jonas"

"HAVE YOU NEVER HEARD OF THE JONAS BROTHERS????" I always knew he was from a different planet.

"Who?" he asks me.

"Oh nevermind. Just go home and tell the kids you went to college with the Jonas Brothers Dad and you'll be a hero for months."

If you could have heard the screaming....

Oh yeah... that would do it for my girls! I might not tell them 'cause it could take hero status away from MY Chris! ~K

That's great. Though I wouldn't know what the brothers sound like, I certainly know the name. For some reason, my daughter doesn't like them, but I bet even she will be impressed when I tell her that the guy on our fridge went to college with the Jonas' brothers dad! My hubby wants me to get him on facebook so he can connect with a friend from highschool- hopefully he won't become a scrabble addict or something...

Oh My Goodness! He would be my nephews hero as well. :-) He loves the Jo Bros. ;-)

Think he could "reconnect" and get a load of back-stage passes for all of your followers with teen daughters???? :)

Here's one from us .. Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood live in our town. We see him most often at the grocery store, soccer field, and I hear he frequents Taco Bueno and Brahm's.

And FB .. oh dear .. my newest obsession!

it's not what you know, it's who you know, you know?

Yeah, unfortunately we don't R.E.A.L.L.Y know them. But the shock factor of the kids was pretty darn cool.

Funny. And even funnier that your husband didn't know of them. LOL

LOL! Too funny. I'm wondering what the Jonas Dad thought when he didn't get a reaction. Must have been refreshing for him! ;-)
