And then break in to conversation about what YOU think (gently). Cookies help. Smiles certainly. At least then - if they just don't know about the other candidate, they will have gotten a friendly education (and a snack).

On the other hand, we have some party neighbors across the street - 2 guys living together and having keg parties in the garage. I was SHOCKED when they put up their McCain sign the other day. We've been waving at them ever since!Sprittibeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07992769339576987845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-559345894667319825.post-73500493660424043232008-10-02T07:35:00.000-07:002008-10-02T07:35:00.000-07:00How funny! "Everyone" votes for the same person, so why bother? It's odd to me, b/c I just moved from Ohio a year ago, which happens to be pretty evenly split--signs were everywhere there.

I personally get a kick out of the "switch the lawn signs" prank.

Snerk.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10797876049874806102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-559345894667319825.post-44580715244765254072008-09-30T15:16:00.000-07:002008-09-30T15:16:00.000-07:00Sigh. Beware of what kind of ice cream you offer though, I heard somewhere that somebody was making different flavored ice creams for each of the candidates. Stick with chocolate mousse, I can't see how that would be offensive.EEEEMommyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08152965556780402197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-559345894667319825.post-28222278862334428902008-09-30T13:29:00.000-07:002008-09-30T13:29:00.000-07:00I hate elections brings out the worst in everyone ...I hate elections brings out the worst in everyone including the candidatesAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03123983791768139547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-559345894667319825.post-55203024742383723272008-09-30T08:46:00.000-07:002008-09-30T08:46:00.000-07:00LOL same thing on our street...LOL same thing on our street...Terrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11626766293737767005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-559345894667319825.post-25377558332048032222008-09-30T08:42:00.000-07:002008-09-30T08:42:00.000-07:00I think that a good choc chip cookie can over come...I think that a good choc chip cookie can over come the greatest political differences.Halfmoon Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12050121358001735700noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-559345894667319825.post-21941707150645243582008-09-30T05:16:00.000-07:002008-09-30T05:16:00.000-07:00LOL! I just wrote about this on my blog. Honestly, ...Ha! I just wrote about this on my blog. Honestly, i could try to remain quite, but my loud Republican kiddos would blow the whistle on me. Heck, who am I kidding? My blog is called Conservachick, we've had McCain stickers on our vehicles since the moment he was nominated, I stand up and cheer for the Republican float at all of our small town parades, and my daughter is going to be Sarah Palin for Halloween. I still would bake cookies though... maybe ones in the shapes of little elephants! Go figure. :-) We decided not to put out signs as well, just to keep the piece.

What's REALLY bad is my sister and her household, and our household are supporting different candidates as well. We are going to be staying with them this week, and we already stressed NO POLITICS. As a matter of fact, I'm not even watching the debates until I get home.
