The Adoption Question

I still haven’t finished all of those questions that you guys asked me HERE and since today has been so busy that I can’t even remember what we had for lunch much less something funny that I could blog about…..I figured I’d answer a few more questions.

Do you ever plan to pursue adoption again?

The short answer is I HOPE SO! I definitely want to have more kids and our first attempt to adopt didn’t stifle that desire. I just don’t know what God’s got up his heavenly sleeve for our family though. So I’m must taking the wait and see approach. If you aren’t familiar with our story here’s the…

BEFORE

DURING

DURING

And AFTER

And I’m still hoping that there is more to the story.

I wondered if you were going to answer my question friend. Actually, I was worried that this question might have brought up some hurt. I know how tough it must have been with your last adoption effort falling through.
We too want more children. Not quite sure what approach we will take (natural, adopted, foster)Anyway, I pray that God opens doors for your home to be filled with more mess makers (maybe some wearing pink??)! ~Karlie

PS. Thanks for your kind words on my post.

I wasn't familiar with your story, Gayle. I had no idea you all were planning on adopting. What a heart wrenching set of events. I'm so sorry.

It will be exciting to see what God is doing in your family next.

Wow what a roller coaster ride for your family. I am so sorry. But like you said, God is in control!! He knows the plans he has for your family. After reading your before, during, during, and after I really felt like I was in the middle of a story. I can't wait to hear the end!

Those were my BG (before Gayle) days, so I had no idea! Thanks for sharing the links.
It's so tragic, but God always has a plan! I will be praying for you.

After reading hearing your heart about adoption I'd guess that God put all that in you for a reason.

We had a failed adoption attempt as well, thwarted by the rotating laws and regulation madness in Russia. Now, three years later, we are awaiting the placement of siblings via foster-adoption here in the States. God has a plan for these not-so-crazy desires that He places on our hearts. Sometimes that broken road really does lead you to good places. I have no doubt that when I finally lay my eyes on our new kiddos for the first time, I will be singing songs of praise for the same hurts that knocked me on my behind a few years ago. :-)

I kept meaning to come back to this post to write. But I couldn't come up with words. I read through everything and my heart broke for what you've endured. So much behind just a few posts...

This I know... God's plan is good, to prosper you, to give you hope and a future. I keep thinking that Charisma wasn't ready yet- not born yet? Hmmm...

I'm so excited to see where God takes your family with this. Can't wait to sit and talk for hours about it. Love you!

I'm not familiar with your adoption story, so I am going to check it out first thing tomorrow.
So tired...have been getting ready for our first foster baby (will be coming in about a week).
Take care!
Blessings!
