Mama Said That There'd Be Days Like This

It’s been one of those days where all of life goes on hold because of child training. I’ve done nothing but break up fights, walk them through apologies, teach obedience lessons, and soothe fragile emotions.

The sink is stacked with dirty dishes, there is a half sewn doll on my sewing table, the laundry basket is filled nearly to the top of the chute upstairs, and there is a plunger sitting in my hall toilet that’s waiting to finish doing it’s job.

It’s one of those days that you’d just like to turn off and start over again...or bury your head in a bag of chocolate.

Yep! Been there, done that, just yesterday, in fact!

I love the disappearing in a bag of chocolates idea, but only if they're Belgian chocolates!!

You know me, too snooty to settle for Hershey's kisses.

Remember, there's a time to every season under Heaven...and this too shall pass.

Be at peace tonight.

If you haven't already, go to Cindy's blog and read the lyrics to the song from today's post. I think it may make you feel better. You are a great mommy- you could have done what I do sometimes, and that is to try to push through my chores while the kids are fighting, and get after them instead of helping them deal with their issues. Everyone usually ends up exasperated when I do that. Hope you found a little chocolate to get you through.

I'd rather not start the same day over again. I just assume go to bed and start fresh in the morning.

Go squish down that pile of laundry and go to bed with your well deserved bag of chocolates!

Although the plunging might be something you should take care of first. The only thing more irritating than a bathroom mess is a bathroom mess in the middle of the night!

I'd choose chocolate, starting over is too much work! LOL

If I were there I would share my bag of chocolate with you, no question.

I pick send everyone to bed early and start fresh tomorrow. If I lost myself in chocolate I would wake up with a super headache the next morning and that would guarantee another bad day, for me anyway.

Those days bite. Those are the days I try to hide in my bedroom and read blogs but the kids find me anyway.

How about a round of "The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow"? :)
