Sorry guys. I went missing for a few days for very good reason. I was helping my friend with her yearly dance production and I had a total blast.
If you live in my area and your sons or daughters have NOT been a part of Fresh Attitude Dance Studio then go check it out HERE. It’s a Christian Hip-Hop Dance studio (versus the “dress-your-daughter-like-a-much-older-woman-and-teach-her-to-shake-her-booty” dance studio) that has an excellent focus…
"I believe it’s vital that what we create is both excellent and relevant. We have an amazing opportunity through the beauty of the Arts - dance in this instance - to impact the world around us in a way like no other. I believe that God’s placed a potential in the Arts for them to be extremely powerful – both for the performer and for the observer. Few things in this world can move hearts like they can.
And our charge, then, is the awesome responsibility and the incredible honour of telling the most amazing story ever told – directly or indirectly - to the utmost of our abilities through our giftings.”
And I’ve got so many posts in my head from the week. We’ve tackled some thumbsucking issues, we’ve had some very interesting conversations, and I’ve actually learned a few things. So check back this week for more.

Sounds like a good time! Our daughter would love to be in the local dance academy's hip hop class, but but I find it a little much. The last time I watched a performance, I wondered why more parents did not have a problem with their little girls dancing to a song with lyrics like "shake your a**". It's too bad, as it could be a lot of fun.
Sounds like a great ministry! My girls just finished a season of dance taught by a High School Jr. It was more jazz/hip-hop than ballet, but it was so much fun watching them dancing around to the Christian music. The older girls (jr high/high school) totally jammed to Toby Mac. I loved it!
Since I was gone for the weekend I am having to catch up on my blog friends, so I am kinda glad, in an odd sort of way, that your blog was off for the weekend too. Now I need to update my blog!
Ohhh, I wish there was a dance studio like that in my area! How wonderful! Last dance recital I went to, a 12 year old soloist had on a flesh colored bodysuit with just a few leaves stitched on covering key areas. VERY inappropriate. And the dance? Well, let's just say that all that was missing was a pole. I was mortified. And, get this - the teacher is a Christian!
I was there.
I didn't see you there, you were probably in the wings.
It amazed me that I knew so many of the kids.
I bet Sharnessa really appreciated your help.
