Happy ?@!!**#$ October!

This happens every year. I don't know why I expect it to be any different. At least one of my kids always decides at the last minute that they are going to change their costume idea to something else. So today was spent using my last few brain cells to miraculously come up with a NEW costume idea before tomorrow night for my daughter.

What we came up with was an 80's flashback. Oooh, no problem being that the 80's was at the peak of my fashion sense. It had all my favorites....neon Wham!, the trashy Madonna look, the Debbie Gibson cutesy look, and BIG hair!

So you can imagine my relief when she decided to dress up in one of my best fashion decades of memory.

Until she asked me this...

"So, the 80's was poodle skirts, right?"

Is this some kinda cruel joke?

Your title made me laugh. I could totally advise on the 80's as well, though I wasn't very hip, even then. Post some pics!

LOL... I had to laugh at that. :-)
I graduated high school in the 80s, and I remember the big hair. :-)

The other night I wore a poodle skirt to our Sunday School Party. :-) Too funny. :-)

From Sundy:

Be grateful you had day or two of warning! One year, one of my sons got to wear his Gambit costume (from X-men) to school. They had to remove their costumes before lunch and hang them up to take home for Halloween that night.

Guess which child forgot his costume? Guess whose mom had less than 2 hrs to pull something together before trick-or-treating? Something that would soothe his wounded spirit....'cause he really, really wanted to be Gambit!

Oh dear...I had to tell him how special he was to get to be TWO different things that year. :)
