Busted!

We had our first extended family Christmas on Saturday night. We chugged through the mountains and hills to my inlaws house with four wheel drive and chains on the suburban. We were greeted by a good two feet of snow. It was the first white Christmas I've seen in years. Probably since I was a kid.
In a bold move of trust I left the camera in the hands of my husband the whole night. He snapped more than 300 pictures during the course of our celebration. So when I had a few minutes alone I downloaded and looked through all of them.

There were pics of all the kids opening gifts, all the grandparents looking pleased, and tons of me too. The only thing is they were all of the back of my head, or the side of my face hidden behind my hair. I searched and searched until I finally found the ONE picture where you could actually see my face and prove that I was there that night.

And what was I doing?

Shoving chocolate in my face.

Thanks babe! Good times.

What better thing could there be to take a picture of? I love it!

Oh, I know. We girls with thick curly hair have no hope of ever seeing our faces in a picture. I live in fear that my kids aren't really going to remember my face, they're going to remember something resembling Cousin It. I have a whole category dedicated to photos of my HAIR on my blog. It's that bad.

Hey, just imagine to yourself that the chocolate will offset the pancakes. LOL LOL LOL Still waiting for those "diet" secrets.

Could have been your chest or backside. I am eating in almost all our family gathering shots. That chocolate looks yummers.

Hi Gayle,
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your comments about your anniversary and marriage in general. FOr those of us who have real marriages, it's nice to know that there are others who are not perfect. Like Marie said in Everybody Loves Raymond,"In mariage keep your head down and keep plowing forward." It's when I'm not keeping her advice and looking to the side mouthing off at my husband that I mess up- and I do that a number of times a week!
Thanks be to God for His mercy and my husband's love!
