I Seriously Had The Most Unproductive Day Of My Entire Life Today!

As a teenager I could lounge on the couch all day watching MTV (gasp…no lectures please.) But at least it was productive because in between the Thriller video and George Michael shaking his denim clad booty, I was receiving all kinds of valuable fashion and dance tips that could be used to further my high school popularity. It was almost like studying!!!

Almost!

But at this age, being unproductive is a big No-No in the How To Be An Adult For Dummies book. It’s right up there with Thou Shalt Never Moon Walk Again and Stirrup Pants Are No Longer In Fashion.

So my morning consisted of breakfast 2 hours late, watching a movie with the kids, watching another movie with the kids and snoozing on the couch.

My afternoon was even more strenuous! I wiped two fresh picked boogers off my three year olds fingers, made a LUNCH two hours late and took yet another nap!

In an effort to counteract all my unproductiveness I admit that I did whip out all my culinary skills for dinner and made an excellent pasta dish with decadent brownies for dessert…..but then fell on the couch exhausted afterwards.

My only defense is the onset of PMS to which everyone should just be thankful I didn’t spend the whole day crying and watching Sleepless in Seattle over and over and over?

But have I heard one thank you yet?

I'm so glad there are other not-so-perfect mom's around. *snort* ROTFLOL Thanks for the laugh!

PS - Try "While You Were Sleeping" for PMS. You can cry and laugh, all at the same time. ;-)

I have more of those days than I care to admit. The worst is when I start a really juicy novel. Oh, my day is shot. I just can't put a good book down.

Hi! I found you! :-) I'll change my subscription (Bloglines) to this one.

"everyone" is leaving HSB. That's an exaggeration, but there are MANY.

And thanks for linking to me on your sidebar. :-)
