Amazing, I know!
So in a pitiful effort to get my butt out of bed and away from good ole B & J, I spontaneously called Em for support. I loaded up our bikes and headed her way for more adrenaline in the form of a 6 mile bike ride…..with 9 kids.
Nothing like a little torture to get your mind off things, I always say.
We DID end up having a grand time. Well, that was after Emily’s husband came to rescue us since her youngest locked her keys in their car.
We went to the Salmon Creek Watershed, which is a little gem of God’s beauty nestled in the middle of some million dollar homes. The bike trials wound through the woods and around a beautiful creek. We saw turtles sunning themselves, and caught little minnows as we waded in the water.
And I'm sure I managed to work off the white chocolate macadamia nut cookies I ate today. Oh, and the chocolate cake I made for dessert tonight will almost certainly be cancelled out. Don't ya think?

i always exercise before chocolate cake and i'm convinced that it so works.
what a great friend. looks like a fun day.
Is there is an extra kid in there somewhere? Looks like so much fun!
I've missed your posts! You should at least blog about what kind of Ben and Jerry's you're curled up with.
I'm going to sign off now and pray for you; for wisdom with the financial decisions you need to make; for peace, for provision, for sanity and joy. :)
I am sure that it was good for you and kiddos too.
Sounds like a fun diversion!

Well I had a blast, but I'm SOO sunburned. I have a farmer burn.....goes nice with the tanning bed stripe.
man, this week stinks.
You made me laugh, which is what I needed! Thanks!
Praying for discernment and wisdom!
Love the pics. Everytime you post pictures I wonder what the heck I'm doing in farm country, prairie town.
I totally think the exercise cancelled out the chocolate and cake. Do you think chasing Levi around the park counts as enough exercise to burn off the wine and chocolate I had last night?
I'm saying a prayer for you and Chris. I don't know the details of the work thing with you guys, but we've been there. It's tough starting a business and nobody really understands unless they've been there. I can honestly say though that at our lowest lows, God is always faithful. {hugs}
Oh Gayle... You will certainly be in my prayers. I don't know the specifics (e-mail me if you want to talk), but I know you and Chris, and I know God's hand is in your lives. Any changes he may have in store for you will just be part of this AWESOME plan... even if it doesn't seem so great at the time. You guys are amazing people, and like usual, you'll end up back on top! Blessings ~Karlie
The biking totally cancels out everything you eat for the next week;)
