Doing The Happy Dance, Now!

The God of the heavens has chosen to shine his light of internet mercy on this poor soul.

Yes folks, who cares about my ability to call 911 in case of an emergency? I’m hooked back up to the world wide web so now I can patiently wait for the phones to start working again.

And just in time, too! I seem to be in need of some good old fashioned advice.

We have new neighbors and I’d really like to go over and introduce ourselves and maybe take a small gift. But I just can’t decide what to do. I though perhaps fresh muffins or cookies would do the trick, but I know there HAVE to be some better ideas than that.

So I’m open for suggestions. Whether you ARE the new neighbor and can tell me what you would like to receive, or you’ve been the one to welcome the new neighbor….either way, I need some fresh ideas.

So bring it on!

Oh, glad to see you're back, see, this is the second time today that I've checked your blog, sick, I know!!!About your new neighbors, I think muffins or cookies are perfect, just perfect, and so sweet and toughtful too...you also could think about a loaf of freshly made bread with some homemade honey butter...If I were a new neighbor, I'd love to receive any of that! take care!! Yes, I still love you despite your poor taste in IMPORTANT current events.

For the neighbors... FOOD, FOOD, FOOD. That's my vote. Something fresh like your breads or a frozen meal to pull out later. A plant for their yard?

If they are new to town, I love lists... pediatricians, hair stylist, dentist, churches, favorite restaurants, cheap date ideas, babysitters, etc.

I wish you were my new neighbor. I'd bring you something real special. :)

I like the fresh bread idea! I usually take banana bread over. Maybe not original, but I have a yummy recipe.

My husbands vote is for food!

So what is the paperbackswap? Is it something local or a website?

Wow. Neighbors still do this? Hmmm. I did have a neighbor who brought me baked goods years ago. I am serious and I loved it.

We found your blog at 5 minutes.
Stop by ours and enter for a free CD if you have time.

Well, if I were a new neighbor and someone were to bring me something, I would love cookies. But if you don't want to make something then I vote for a flower pot, something that either needs to be planted, or hung or to sit in the kitchen table.

Being a recent new neighbor myself, I think the baked goods is great. Moving takes so much out of you. It would be niced to receive something homemade. No one in our neighborhood brought anything over. We have new neighbors moving in tomorrow and guess what I'm doing? Taking over cookies!

Glad you are reconnected!

You know, if you give cookies, they'll appreciate it, but a pie... Now that is serious stuff. We attended a church we hated for nearly two months just because they brought us a pie!
