If there is anything that is important to my three year old, it is style, or the freedom to express his OWN style.
If he’s feeling like it’s a naked day, then every time I turn around I’ll find little white cheekies streaking through my line of vision.
If he feels that his pajama shirt looks best with his dress pants, well there ain’t no stopping him.
And if his swim trunks and rubber boots seem to best express his attitude, well bring it on!
I’ve learned to accept this, really I have. Although the dentist can’t seem to understand why I grind my teeth at night.
But when it comes to Gabe’s hairstyle, that’s when it becomes art.
This morning while we were getting ready for church, Gabe gave me a quick tutorial on the proper way to style hair. Which of course I recorded so that I too could be as cool as him someday.

So watch out Ken Paves, Jessica Simpson just might be keeping her eye open for the next fresh stylist.

Luckily for me (and my teeth) that babyfine blond hair falls flat into a young man style in about 5 minutes. Thank God he hasn't discovered industrial strength gel yet.
I love the look in the last photo. He is one stylin' guy.
I have that exact same mirror, btw. It hangs in my entry, but it fell the other night (didn't break!). When we moved to this house, Scott got a John Deere mower and I got that mirror. :)
OK, that was ME, not my husband who is ruining my comment life by having his own identity set on the computer.
What an absolute cutie pie!!!!
Very cute- I love it when they come up with their own ideas- though I have been known to pretend hug them before church, just so I could quickly reach up and flatten strange hairdos a bit. they usually catch me though...
He sure is a cutey! Your blog is fun to read.
Wow - he is one cool dude there. What a great mom to let him express himself in an 'innocent' way. Just wait till he finds that hair gel though - oh boy!
Too cute!!!!
He is too adorable!
