Hmmmmm...

Do you ever read someone’s blog and have a gazillion things you’d like to ask about her home life, work, school, kids, marriage, schedule, political views, why she makes certain choices in her life, what led her to believe a certain way or just, what is the BEST chocolate a girl could buy?

I do, but I’m either too scared to ask or can’t fit it into a comment so I don’t sound like a stalker.

Well here’s your chance. I’m gonna take a walk on the wild side and make my life an open book for the weekend, so here’s where you get to be nosy. Leave me a comment, and you can be anonymous if you want, asking me whatever you might have been wondering about me. I’ll answer them all in a post next week.

Could be fun, maybe a little scary, but I’m sure VERY interesting.

Ask Away!

I might think of some scary questions, but these are pretty safe: How long have you and Emily (nrse mom) known each other, and how did you meet? Have you always homeschooled your kids? What was your highschool grad theme song? There, that's it for now!

You asked for it. This might be the first of many. :-)

What's your favourite chocolate? How much chocolate do you eat in a day? Do you ever find yourself reaching for 'just one more'? What is the maximum number of choc's you've consumed in a day?

I have never visited your blog before now, but my friend keeps telling me I HAVE to read it. Must be because I also am trying to get my 4.5 year old to use the toilet. He sounds just like your son!!! He can do it in the toilet, he has done it in the toilet, but he chooses not to. He will use his underwear, the backyard, toys, the floor. I am TIRED of it. I am a mom of 4 boys, the youngest being 2 months. With my last 2 children being over 4 years one would have thought I would have dodged the "2 in diapers" bullet this time around. Not so!!
Anyway on with my question before the little offender strikes again. What do you do when he doesn't use the toilet? Do you discipline? Do you ignore it? Do you make him clean it up (which can be translated to read, do you open yourself up to a larger mess?)? I get lots of advice and input from all of the well-meaning moms I know whose children were potty trained before 2, but unless you have walked a day in our shoes, it is really hard to imagine what it would be like to face not only the incredibly strong will of a 4 year old, but also the incredibly disgusting feces of a 4 year old. I just need some reassurance that I am not alone in my struggle and any advice you have for being gracious yet firm with the little STINKER!!!!
PS I have added you to my favorites, I have a feeling I am going to relate to this blog!!

how did you come to the decision to homeschool??

(found your blog from the "Everyday Mommy" blogsite)

Since I'm a homeschooler, my question will be about that.

What is your favorite homeschooling resource?

Ok, first let me say I am literally laughing my fool head off over the "prairie dog" post..LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!! Particularly hilarious was that you almost made a GROWN MAN gag...LAW...I can't stop laughing....
Anyway...back to this post. I am always freaked out that if I ask questions I will sound like a creep, too. I can't think of any right now, but, as I have said before...it is completely weird how much we have in common. Especially our sense of humor..LOL!
Thanks girlie, I needed that.

As a homeschool mom this year I am really struggling with scheduling. So, how do you fit it all in with different age children? How do you give each child the one on one time they need? How do you find time for lesson planning and getting everything together for the next day and keep up with the house? DO you have a hard schedule and do you stick to it?

Thanks for the chance to know you better!

I know what you mean about asking too many questions but sometimes I just do. I mean, they don't have to answer, right?

Here are my questions:

Why do you live where you do and do you mind the rain?

Not very stalker-like. A bit on the boring side, maybe. Maybe all this rain is dampening my imagination.

Enjoy your week!

What brand of tampons do you use?
Is that question too personal;)

1. Who is your favorite cyberfriend EVER? (I know it is me, so that isn't really a great question.)
2. When are you going to move by me?
3. What are your biggest strengths?
4. Emily's question.
5. How have you changed in the last five years? (NOT physically. I don't want to hear about how much prettier you keep getting.)
6. If you had a day COMPLETELY free, what would you want to do?
7. If you could only have ONE type of chocolate for the rest of this decade, what would it be?

Since I'm in WA state, I have to ask coffee questions.

1) What's your favorite coffee drink?

I'm presuming you do, in fact, drink coffee.

2) Do you have chocolate IN your coffee (ie mochas) or WITH your coffee (brownie, cookie, etc)?

3) Do you like coffee ice cream and coffee flavored desserts.

These are crucial questions. :)

OOhhh...I am a lurker, but you have just waved a red flag in front of a bull!! I love finding out how other people live!! Here goes:
1. How many times a week do you cook a "full-on" dinner, as opposed to slap something together?
2. When do your kids go to bed?
3. How do you like to decorate your house?
4. Do you ever feel "parent-guilt" or wonder 'Am I spoiling/depriving them? Overdisciplining/too lax, etc etc
5. How many Christmas presents do you buy each of your children?

This is just a random mix...if I knew you as a personal friend irl, these would be the kind of things I'd pick your brain about over a cuppa!!

This is a fun post. I love learning about other people and their lives (not in a stalkerish way, LOL). So, here's my question:

What does a fun day out with your family consist of?.. Favorite place to go or activity to do together?

hey, post a picture of a really messy room in your house. I feel like the only one who ever posts messy rooms and I need some company.

I read somewhere that you were part of a home church once. What was that experience like, and are you still in a home church? And doctrine...I like to know where people are coming from doctrinally.
Also, how many hours a day do you spend on the computer? When do you blog? How frequently (all in one chunk or sporadically through the day)? And do you talk about your blog to non-blogging real life people?
Finally, how do you do it all?

I seem to remember seeing a schedule chart at your house once...do you still do this? Do you assign specific chores per child or just ask them to do jobs randomly? Oh and I like the homeschool questions...what do you use for phonics/beginning reading?
This is a good idea to get to know you better, and it'll be fun to read all the answers!

I'm always worried that women my wife meets online through their blogs are really creepy middle-aged men trying to lure unsuspecting lonely housewives to Vegas to meet another creepy man-posing-as-a-homeschooler-mom who brings her(his) own car up from Arizona to use to haul lifeless blogger-bodies out to the desert.

Soooooooo...I see the tampon question as a valid one to ensure that you truly answer it as a woman would.

Other questions to help verify your womanity:

2. What's so special about "Special K"?
3. How many pens are in your purse?
4. Which Disney princess would you want to be?
