Reunited And It Feels So Good...

That’s where I’ll just end those timeless lyrics from Peaches and Herb. (Please tell me you know who I’m talking about otherwise that means I’m old and I just can’t bear that!) If I were to continue on in that song it just wouldn’t make sense and would get all kinds of kinky so that is where my stroll down memory lane ends.

But yes, my buddy Emily is flying in this week to nanny for a mutual friend while her and her husband plan a funeral (Isn’t she just about the greatest friend in the world?) and I have been allotted 24 hours to catch up and get my best-friend fix before she jets off again for the very distant state of Arizona.

So although I’m very said at the loss of our Sister In Christ, Kathleen who this very minute is in the presence of the Lord and is in a whole, healthy, strong body I am so blessed to have some time with some old friends.

Stay tuned for pictures.

I remember Peaches and Herb -
Also the Captain and Tenille - (I have no idea how to spell that) "Love will keep us together - think of me babe whenever - some sweet talking girl comes along..." my kids are scared that I'm singing -
Emily is amazing.
I am sorry about the loss of your friend. I am so happy for her to be with Jesus.

Glad you get some more time with Emily. I will be looking for those pics of your escapades. Isn't it great that we have a perspective on death that gives us hope and peace in the midst of our sorrow?

BTW, I totally started humming that smooth song when I saw your title.

I didn't know who sang it, but I do know the song. :-) I'm glad you'll get a visit with Emily, even though the circumstances are sad.

Of course I know that song! It is a fine, smooth one. ;)

Have a fabulous time together!

Can't wait to see the pictures! (Notice I am NOT baiting you at all here this time. I have totally learned my lesson.)

But I double dog dare you to have fun without me.

How fun to have time with Emily!!! You're so lucky (can I use that word on a Christian blog??).

Looking forward to pictures. :)

Peaches and Herb... thanks for bringing up childhood memories I'd rather forget. Sheesh, next you'll be talking about the BeeGees... You know, when P & H first showed up on the pop music scene (I think I was in high school at the time), I had a culinary tendency to pronounce it as "Peaches and ERB". Sounded deliciously logical to me.

Joy in the midst of sorrow. Must be a God thing. :) Enjoy your BFF. Give eachother hugs from the rest of us!
Do you think heaven will have a quaint little chocolate coffee shop where all the blog-sistas can congregate? I can only imagine.

I suppose this will give you time to "plot" and get your stories straight.
