A laundry tip that works for me...I never use as much soap as they say. I would guess that I use about 2/3 of the suggested measured amount (we use sunlight sensitive). I still get tons of suds and clean clothes, and I stretch the detergent a little farther. :-)
What are you going to do about the laundry detergent dilemma?
I myself am a Tide, Downy, and Bounce girl, but with the Tide and Downy, I don't buy it every month. I buy it about every 3 months or so, because I don't use a whole cup in each load. I use less than half a cup and I put Oxyclean in there too, which allows me to use less detergent. I use way less Downy than it says to use too.
I notice with cheap laundry detergent (yes, I have used tons of other detergents out there!) our clothes become dingy after a couple of washes and the detergent doesn't seem to get our clothes as clean as Tide. I pass the girls clothes down to the next youngest, so I have to have our clothes in good shape for years!
I'm interested to know what detergent you settle on. Keep us posted on your continuing grocery adventure!
A mid 30's woman trying to balance marriage, faith, homeschooling 4 kids, mountains of dirty laundry and a serious chocolate addiction. Ok, well maybe it's more like upper 30's but it's still the 30's, dangit!

I had no idea! Isn't that false advertising?
