Ok, little update...if you ever need to stay in Redding California, the CLEANEST motel is the Travelodge on Market Street.
Now that's out of the way...
I am still not home. I'm trapped in Canyonville Oregon. Why Canyonville you ask? Mom and Dad couldn't take my pushing to drive the whole way through and decided to break our drive into 2 days. Hence the stop. Which, here's the kicker, happens to be at the Casino. We had some incredible family bonding at the penny slots last night where I preceded to put in $20 and win $98!
Woo Hoo!
How many of you can say you've gambled with your mom?
And since I am so experienced at all things gambling (chuckle, snort) since my girl weekend in Vegas with my blogging buddies, I've noticed something about casinos that are OUTSIDE of Vegas.
They look like casinos, they smell (blech) like casinos but I'm not quite sure if they are casinos. I was the youngest person in the whole Casino at the ripe age of nearly 36. There were grannies in walkers knocking me down to get to the slots.
They were fierce, people!
I've never been such a minority before and I'm not sure I liked it.
I'll have to wrap up here, I've got a line of people waiting to use the only computer in the Best Western.

Now WHY couldn't you win like that when I was with you??? We could have gotten tiramisu or Starbucks again- on you, of course!

Years ago hubby and I have been to the casinos in Biloxi, MS and the older generation loved to spend their days with their prepaid cards permanantly shoved into the machines and yet still attached to them by a cord. It looked almost like a lifeline! They would play several machines at once and watch out if you were to actually look at one! The worst thing you could possibly do is to get on a machine they have abandoned and then win on it. You will get an earful! LOL
We had a lot of fun.
What about the gamblers toting around there oxygen tanks...
