This One's For Jim and Ian (I'm sorry I didn't have pictures to go with it)

That Gabe-y of mine is a handfull.

Yesterday he had to go poop somethin' terrible but in his stubborn fashion he refused to go unless I went upstairs with him, stood in the bathroom with the door open, and faced away from him while plugging my ears and singing twinkle twinkle little star.

He's a very original kid.

Unfortunately I refused to bend to his whims and told him to get his little doggies on up those stairs and take care o' his bin'ness.

But to match my stubborness, he met it with his own and decided he would hold it in.

You know what's coming right?

I went out the back door to the freezer in the garage and just as I dug out the loaf of bread I had in there and turned to walk back in the house, I noticed Gabe standing in my way.

But he wasn't just standing, he was grunting. And through his "bearing down" face he's mumbling to me "I'm.....pooping....Mom!"

And then more "bearing down" occurs.

Luckily (or maybe Un-luckily) he was wearing underwear (which is a miracle in itself) and pajamas to catch the fall out but I'm a little confused over who won that battle.

Luckily he seems to balance his challenging behavior with his cuteness.

Like today when he asked me, "Mom, are you a grown up yet?"

All my grey hairs melted away in that one instance.

Oh, he's cute...and stubborn. I am familiar with that territory- i have a couple of my own like that. I love that he wanted you to sing and plug your ears at the same time while in the bathroom! I am not sure who won that round either, but it is entertaining for us!

WHAT-ever!!!!

That Gabe!

When he's a dad, he'll appreciate this time in his life when he tormented his poor mom with poop issues....yes, what comes around goes around!

And I'll add my vote: you lost!

But you sure lost to a cute winner!

I think Ian was..um...flattered that you chose to include him in this post. :P

Gabe really is cute though. Sorry that he chooses to battle with you on this area!
