Dumb Things I Caught Myself Saying Today

"Malachi! Stop picking your nose and eating your boogers.

We just had dinner, you can’t STILL be hungry!"

Huh?

Because boogers are so nutritious and filling, of course.

Ha! That is funny. Did we ever think we would be saying such things when we were snazzy teens? It would be handy if the reverse were possible: "Stop asking me for something to eat and just go pick your nose if you need a snack!" Now I've got myself laughing, but truly, wouldn't that be convenient???

And then there's the times where I've said, "Oh, just hand me your booger!"

Ew.

(Said to my son when he needed to head off somewhere and I didn't want him going with a boogie on his finger.)

Yeah, but they're "healthy and organic" and he's "just recycling", remember?

That is a far, far better quote than my creme-de-la-creme from many years ago, which was prompted by a child who was talking waaaay too much at breakfast and went something like this: "Please! Shut your mouth and eat!"

LOL- The comments are just as funny as the post.
I have a feeling that even if you branched out it would still lead to a bodily function of some kind.
Go with what you know (or are subjected to by your children!)
