Shhhh.
(whispering) I love this time of day.
I'm the first one up. Everyone is still asleep upstairs. The house is my own...no clamboring for breakfast or coffee, no arguing who gets to be on the computer first.
I'm heading out the door for my morning walk/run where I'll hear birds and see deer, and dodge the cars on their way to work.
I'll plan my day out in silence. I'll pray for the people that pop into my head and some stuff in my own life.
I'll work off the whole can of pringles I ate before I went to sleep.
And I'll come home ready to serve the people I love.
It's my favorite time of the day.

How early do you have to get up, in your house, to find that quiet time??
What time do you all start school?
Life is crazy as a homeschooling mama! I'm with you there. Enjoy those moments while you can.

And it sounds wonderful. :-) Hope you enjoyed it. :-)
That sounds heavenly.
that sounds like what I "imagine" my mornings to be - and we don't even have kids! Maybe I should try it once...
What a great post. I hope the start of most of your days continue to be like this. What makes it more special is the time of year it's getting to be. Fall is in the air. Have a nice rest of the day.
me too, I get up at 5:30 to have an hour and a half to myself every morning. After my walk and some prayer I feel better equipped for the day ( that usually wears off an hour or so after everyone is up but hey, at least I had my time :-)
Mmmm. That IS the best time of day!
Great post...
That sounds wonderful. It seems that no matter what time I get up, there is a kid right there with me.
Enjoy a little of your morning for me my friend! Maybe even send a prayer my way. :)
I, too, enjoy that quiet time before my children get up. I'm having it right now!
The only thing missing is the coffee ;) Other than that it sounds marvelous!

I don't remember seeing a can of pringles on the grocery list this week......
I wish I could convince myself of this when my eyes won't open and the bed is so comfortable and inviting.
I like getting up early and having my time. Ok, I usually want to stay in my warm bed, but I do feel better once I get up and get moving. I have great memories of my mom up and reading her Bible before any of us ever stumbled out of bed.
OK Anonymous, you chicken. :) My kids bought pringles with their b-day money..for the whole family.
Now that the birthdays are over and you have nothing to do, I'm giving you a job. :-)

Oh that sounds lovely. I really need to start making "me" time a priority.
Me 2, I like to be up first and have some time to think and have the house to myself and walk :-)
Amen, sister!! Well said! Now if I could just convince DH of this ... or maybe not. Then it would really ruin it for me ;-) Nothing like watching the sunrise with the birds and a good cup of coffee!

I love that time of day too!
Only problem is that I am too tired to wake up that early. Maybe I can ease into it...
