Filling Up The Blog

My mom finally said to me today, "Gayle you need to put a new post up. I'm tired of seeing the same one every day."

Momma talks, Gayle listens.

So here is my post about nothing, because every time the kids say something funny I think, "Hey I should put that on my blog," and then I forget it. I just sit at the computer hours later trying to remember what they said and it's leaked out of my sieve-like brain.

And to continue with the randomness I'm headed out for some girl bonding time in the morning. Me...6 girlfriends...cabin in the woods...chocolate. Can it get any better than that?

Oh, and I'm really digging my husband. We are just clicking like a finely oiled machine lately. I love it when that happens. It's not always like that. Sometimes we are like two opposing magnets but when it's good it's REAL good.

Let's see, what else. Oh, I got my first paycheck for writing. That was cool. Can I call myself an author yet?

So, I'm off to do laundry and pack, write a list of what there is to eat in the house so I don't get a bazillion phone calls while I'm gone this weekend saying, "Mom, there's nothing to eat. What's for lunch?" while I'm 200 miles away.

And Mom and Lisa, you no longer have to look at the post about my sex life.

Feel better?

I have the same problem, sort of. Not that I actually forget what was said or what happened, but by the time I sit at the computer I no longer have the brain cells to pull all the head blogs of the day together into a cohesive post. I actually just posted about that a few minutes ago, and yeah, it was sort of a nothing post too. Something to fill up the blog before my last post turned a week old.

My mom doesn't have my blog address; in fact, she doesn't even really know I blog. Because although I value her thoughts on many things, i *don't* want her opinion on what I write (or don't write) on my blog. It's MINE.

{{Can I call myself an author yet?}}.........Absolutely, Gayle!!!!! You've been an author ~ and a GREAT one, at that ~ ever since you penned (or typed) your first words!!!!!

{{200 miles away.}}.................Don't exaggerate; it's only 80 miles away; 160 miles round trip! That would have been VERY doable ~ to just zip on home to fix them a sandwich!!! ;-D

Yeah for the writing check!

I completely agree with you about the blog post thing. I am always thinking of great posts or the kids are providing fodder, but by the time I get to my computer I forget everything.
Maybe I should carry a small tape recorder with me. LOL
