Introducing Tucker

The new-pet saga finally has a happy ending. Meet Tucker.

I compromised on only one thing. He's a male instead of a female. But considering we paraded half the female dogs in the pound in front of him to check his hump-factor, (yeah, it was a little like a canine booty call) I'm happy to say he passed the test and came home with us. He's also submissive, obedient, smart, house trained, mellow and cuddly. AND he sleeps through being petted, hugged, and all the screaming, shouting and running that goes on in this house.

Oh...and this is his happy boy.

I just talked to your sister and she said you are taking him to be "altered" tomorrow. Talk about trama... Pound, excuse me, Humane Society... new home.. adjustments to that... then.... it is almost to horrible to say... the ritualistic cutting off of the influence in the community... all in a couple of days... Then there is meeting the rest of the "Fam." .. Oh, the trama....LOL!!!! Cole has a playmate!

See ya Friday

He is so cute! In my experience, adopted dogs are the best, loyal friends a kid can have.
I awarded/tagged you. Check my blog for details. No pressure if you don't want to do it!(but I hope you do)

I was worried about getting a boy dog myself. But, we are so happy with our male dog. He is so loving and gentle. Our female dog is loving as well, but she is more highstrung then our neutered male. Glad you got a pet that seems to fit your family so well. Congratulations.

Congratulations! As a fellow dog rescurer we love that you adopted Tucker.
Our Toby was adopted from the local shelter. He's also a male but already neutered. (a must for this gal)
Way to go girl.

Cute dog, yes.

Cute boy--and even better, he sounds like a great kid...taking responsibility for the dog!! I can only hope when the time comes, my girls do too!
